If you're wondering why the first strip is so different, It was an entry into a contest the paper was having for free Aeon Flux movie tickets. Although I won, somehow, I never got the tickets, and when I came into discuss a consolation prize I pitched them doing the actual strip, then titled the Weekly Draw. Fun Fact:, the strip that was censored did not run, but the paper still ran with a teaser for it. The front page teased "comic by Mike Laidman on page __."
